About This Role
- Design, build, and optimize backend Java applications, microservices, and custom plugins for electrical system design platforms focusing on Siemens Capital integration.
- Translate electrical harness designs and EWIS standards into scalable software models and build APIs for integration between ECAD, MCAD, and PLM systems.
- Lead technical initiatives through code reviews, establish Java/API best practices, and collaborate with aerospace/electrical engineering teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years professional Java/J2EE software development experience in electrical, aerospace, defense, or automotive engineering environments.
- Hands-on development experience with Siemens Capital suite (Capital Logic, Harness XC, Systems Architect) and custom plugin/API development.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 11+, multi-threading, REST APIs), enterprise frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA), and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in embedded software solutions for electrical harness and aerospace systems integration with strong domain expertise in electrical wiring and EWIS standards.
- Comfortable working at the intersection of core engineering domains and software development in a multi-functional environment.
- Skilled in building and maintaining integration pipelines between ECAD, MCAD (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX), and PLM (e.g., Teamcenter, Enovia) systems.
