About This Role
- Lead embedded software testing through manual and automated methods for industrial products such as PLC controllers and communication modules.
- Develop and maintain Python automation frameworks integrated with CI pipelines (TeamCity, Jenkins) to enhance regression coverage and testing efficiency.
- Manage test planning, execution, defect tracking using Jira Xray, analyze failures, and mentor peers to improve QA practices and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in software testing with embedded systems and Python automation expertise.
- Proficient in functional, integration, and regression test creation and execution aligned to requirements.
- Experience with test management tools (Jira Xray), defect tracking, and CI systems (TeamCity, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with embedded hardware, communication protocols (Modbus, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, CANopen), and debugging methodologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in hands-on embedded system testing including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and physical hardware environments.
- Capabilities to lead QA activities independently, prioritize effectively, and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary engineering team on complex industrial embedded products within a hybrid onsite-remote setup in Pune.
