About This Role
- Design, build, and own the SRE and observability platform monitoring production systems across on-premises and Azure Cloud environments.
- Define and instrument SLAs, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and KPIs with product, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Automate deployment and configuration of monitoring tools and lead incident root cause analysis and remediation efforts, including mentoring junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development, system administration, or site reliability engineering focused on production systems.
- Deep expertise in Linux OS internals, networking, and NFS with ability to troubleshoot kernel-level issues.
- Strong experience with Elasticsearch for log aggregation and search.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python scripting, Terraform, Ansible, and experience with Azure Cloud platform.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in handling EDA workloads and job schedulers (Grid Engine, LSF, SLURM) in production environments.
- Skilled at cross-team collaboration to negotiate SLOs, gain buy-in for automation, and communicate complex failures effectively to technical and executive audiences.
- Proactive in spotting and resolving reliability risks, with a detail-oriented approach to observability tooling and mentoring junior engineers in SRE best practices.
