About This Role
- Define and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity portfolio including supplier base optimization and improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate with suppliers to meet manufacturing and aftermarket goals ensuring cost leadership and supply chain flexibility.
- Lead new product development sourcing activities and utilize SRM tools to streamline procurement and delivery processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate Mechanical Engineer with a post-graduation degree in Management.
- 8-12 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive, compressor manufacturing, or engineering/industrial goods industry.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and familiarity with fabrication commodities; experience in compressor parts purchasing is a plus.
- Fluency in English and working on-site at Chakan, Pune, India.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing and optimizing supplier relationships with strong negotiation and mediation skills.
- Technically proficient with sourcing tools like SAP, SRM (B2Net), and MS-Excel, able to manage complex sourcing projects and new product developments.
- Demonstrates ownership, problem-solving skills, and adherence to business ethics in sourcing activities within a multicultural environment.
