About This Role
- Own and build the complete production loop including data models, streaming, concurrency, payments, deployment, and observability ensuring full reconstructability on failure.
- Develop benchmarks and evaluation test cases (continuity, character behaviour, narrative quality) to guide product development rather than just verify it.
- Define standards and structure for code maintainability around AI agents; make key architectural decisions and lead design experiments to improve the product.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience as a full stack product engineer with real production engineering depth.
- Experience building and operating production systems with language models and AI at their core, troubleshooting real user failures and fixing issues.
- Proficient with large language models, backend development, system design, concurrency, databases, APIs, and background work for reliable production systems.
- Location: Remote (India); Strong technical education preferred but not mandatory (IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS cited as examples).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Has shipped end-to-end consumer products and can integrate AI models and context naturally in production engineering.
- Demonstrates strong design instincts with the ability to define and execute experiments before committing to custom infrastructure.
- Prefers broad ownership and leadership growth potential (path to Head of Engineering); comfortable explaining technical decisions to founders and challenging ideas constructively.
