About This Role
- Own design, development, testing, implementation, and support of Java services/APIs within Employee Benefits applications.
- Apply Java design patterns, SOLID principles, and secure coding to build maintainable, testable backend services.
- Use Python for supporting automation, scripting, log/data analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile POD with US and India teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java fundamentals and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or equivalent Java service frameworks, REST APIs, and secure service design.
- Working knowledge of Python for automation/scripting and Oracle SQL for data troubleshooting.
- AWS cloud fundamentals preferred; Agile delivery experience and AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) practical knowledge required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced Java engineer with deep understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and secure API/backend service development.
- Able to apply engineering judgment to deliver maintainable, tested, and secure code within a collaborative Agile multi-location POD.
- Comfortable leveraging AI developer tools responsibly, supporting automation with Python, and engaging closely with cross-functional teams for end-to-end delivery.
