About This Role
- Lead a team of 7-10 SDETs to define and execute an enterprise-wide test automation strategy using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Own quality outcomes by embedding quality engineering best practices throughout the SDLC, improving release confidence, speed-to-market, and production stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set quality gates, define test coverage targets, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and communicate release risk to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-7 years in software quality engineering or SDET roles with technical leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Expertise in API testing tools like Karate, REST Assured, Playwright API, or Postman.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale quality automation efforts with a strong emphasis on test architecture and engineering standards.
- Experienced in shift-left testing, risk-based quality engineering, and integrating automation within modern CI/CD environments.
- Comfortable owning product quality and business outcomes beyond test execution, with strong stakeholder communication and data-driven decision-making skills.
