About This Role
- Own and provide application and production support for live customer environments, including incident resolution and performance issue diagnosis.
- Collaborate with Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to configure and extend the platform for customer implementations and feed product gaps back to the core team.
- Contribute to improving engineering and delivery capabilities through testing, automation (CI/CD), and architectural enhancements for platform scalability and performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional Java backend development experience.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases like MySQL.
- Experience with microservices architecture and software engineering best practices including unit and integration testing.
- Location requirement: Must reside in reasonable proximity to Mumbai or Bengaluru, India; hybrid work arrangement; No visa sponsorship provided.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced backend Java engineer comfortable working in a production support role focused on live customer environments.
- Capable of cross-team collaboration involving Delivery, Product, and Engineering to solve real-world customer problems and enhance product solutions.
- Familiarity with insurance industry software or the P&C insurance domain and modern DevOps/cloud tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred but not mandatory.
