About This Role
- Own application and production support for live customer environments, resolving incidents, defects, and performance issues from initial report to resolution including root-cause analysis.
- Configure, integrate, and extend the underwriting platform to meet customer requirements during delivery of implementation projects.
- Collaborate with Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to convert customer requirements into maintainable solutions and feed product improvements back to the core team.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional Java backend engineering experience with proficiency in Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL.
- Location requirement: Based in Mumbai or Bengaluru, India (hybrid work model).
- Work Authorization: This position does not sponsor employment-based visas.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in backend web application development with microservices architecture and software engineering best practices including unit and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience in application support, incident management, and collaborating across delivery, product, and engineering teams to solve real customer problems.
- Familiarity with cloud and DevOps technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) and insurance domain experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
