About This Role
- Design, develop, test, and maintain subsurface software applications including Petrel plug-ins and APIs to support geological modeling, seismic interpretation, and reservoir characterization workflows.
- Build and integrate desktop, cloud, and data pipeline solutions using C#, .NET, Azure, Python, ensuring software quality through CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to automate subsurface interpretation workflows incorporating AI/ML technologies and provide technical mentorship in Agile teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant work experience in software development for subsurface or geoscience applications.
- Mandatory skills include C#, .NET, Azure, Petrel (Ocean SDK) development, DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes), Python, OAuth and cybersecurity knowledge, and domain expertise in Oil & Gas geological/geophysical modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics is required; Master's preferred.
- Location requirement: Hybrid working in Bangalore with 4 days per week onsite.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced developer with strong domain knowledge in Oil & Gas subsurface modeling and proficiency in Petrel Ocean SDK plug-in development.
- Skilled at integrating AI/ML capabilities into geoscience interpretation workflows, with familiarity in cloud platforms (Azure) and modern DevOps practices.
- Able to lead and mentor teams within Agile environments, balancing hands-on technical development with architectural design.
