About This Role
- Lead strategic sourcing and contract management across engineering, maintenance, safety, and indirect spend categories.
- Drive cost savings and procurement automation by implementing long-term rate contracts, blanket purchase agreements, and catalog-based buying mechanisms.
- Manage full contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiation, compliance, risk mitigation, and supplier performance monitoring to optimize procurement operations.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) mandatory; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing industrial equipment and maintenance services, including familiarity with commercial instruments like bank guarantees and Letters of Credit.
- Experience with imports, logistics, customs clearance, and adherence to safety and statutory compliance regulations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in industrial/engineering procurement with expertise in plant operations and heavy equipment sourcing.
- Proven ability to conduct Total Cost of Ownership analyses and implement cost optimization strategies through structured contracts.
- Strong skills in contract drafting, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, and driving procurement process improvements using ERP and digital tools.
