About This Role
- Develop automation solutions and infrastructure for efficient deployment and operational excellence of Akamai's Compute products and services.
- Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues and enhance system reliability and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations, driving incident resolution and improving monitoring and analysis systems for faster error detection and remediation.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering with large-scale distributed systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration and automation tools such as Python or Golang, SaltStack, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with observability/monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, Splunk) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing and automating large-scale distributed computing environments with a focus on operational efficiency and reliability.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to investigate systemic issues across infrastructure and applications.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment involving cross-functional teams and participating in incident management and on-call duties.
