About This Role
- Lead strategic sourcing and contract management for engineering, maintenance, safety, and indirect spend categories including negotiation and execution of service agreements and rate contracts.
- Drive procurement cost savings and automation through implementation of long-term rate contracts, catalog-based buying, and maintaining contract compliance within ERP systems.
- Manage supplier relationships, risk mitigation, compliance, and contract administration to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Procurement Operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) mandatory; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in sourcing industrial equipment and maintenance services in plant operations.
- Proficiency in commercial instruments (bank guarantees, Letters of Credit), import logistics, and understanding of safety and statutory compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in complex category management with focus on industrial and engineering procurement within manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract drafting skills with ability to incorporate detailed KPIs, SLAs, penalties, and risk mitigation clauses.
- Data-driven decision maker proficient in TCO assessments, stakeholder management, and leveraging ERP and digital procurement tools for continuous improvement.
