About This Role
- Participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of application systems and programs relating to Big Data and Hadoop environments.
- Provide user and operational support, recommend advanced programming solutions, and act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.
- Monitor development processes and recommend/develop security measures post-implementation to ensure system design effectiveness and functionality.
Minimum Requirements
- 7 years of relevant experience in Big Data engineering, including strong experience with Hadoop and Hadoop-centric schedulers.
- Proficiency in Scala or Java, Python, with good knowledge of Spark and Scala APIs; experience designing and developing Scala-related data pipelines and REST APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Work Experience Required: 7 years explicit; Regulatory Reporting knowledge is a strong plus but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing and implementing complex Big Data projects with hands-on technical expertise in Scala, Spark, and Hadoop ecosystems.
- Able to provide evaluative judgment on business and system processes, acting independently with limited supervision while advising senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working under pressure with deadlines and managing changes, with consulting or project management experience preferred.
