About This Role
- Participate in the development lifecycle of application systems including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Provide user and operational support, act as SME and advisor to stakeholders on application development including Big Data solutions.
- Recommend and develop security measures; contribute to design and functionality via post-implementation analysis.
Minimum Requirements
- 7 years of relevant experience in application development and Big Data engineering.
- Proficiency in Scala or Java, Python, Spark, and Scala API with strong experience in Hadoop and Hadoop-centric schedulers.
- Hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL pipelines and migrating workloads to Python; familiarity with Kafka streaming and CI/CD using Git workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and developing scalable data pipelines and REST APIs with solid Big Data and Spark ecosystem expertise.
- Able to operate with autonomy, exercising judgement to act as SME and coach to junior analysts.
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills, comfortable managing deadlines and adapting to changing requirements.
