About This Role
- Lead the technical direction and architecture of cross-border backend systems supporting global marketplace transactions across multiple regions.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable Go services with multi-region support, ensuring high reliability and operational standards with AI-assisted automation.
- Accelerate and unblock engineering teams by solving complex design challenges, coordinating cross-team efforts, and mentoring senior engineers on AI-enhanced development workflows.
Minimum Requirements
- 10 to 12 years of professional software engineering experience with leadership in complex backend projects across multiple teams.
- Strong backend development skills in Go and experience building and operating distributed cloud-native systems (GCP, Kubernetes).
- Proven delivery of large customer-facing product features with strong system design, data modeling, and production debugging skills for high availability services (99.95% uptime).
- Experience applying AI/LLMs to enhance engineering productivity, including coding agents and AI-assisted code review.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and running global distributed systems supporting complex domains like cross-border e-commerce, payments, or multi-currency environments.
- Ability to influence and align architecture and engineering teams across cross-cultural and cross-functional boundaries without formal authority.
- Proficient at integrating AI technologies into software development processes to improve velocity and quality at scale in a cloud-native environment.
