About This Role
- Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale data platforms, pipelines, and services through proactive monitoring and timely resolution.
- Design, implement, and automate operations for data systems collaborating with engineering teams to reduce manual toil and streamline processes.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of observability and resilience practices including monitoring, alerting, and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in production support, DevOps, infrastructure, cloud operations, data platform operations, or software engineering.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, PowerShell, Bash, Spark, or equivalent technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Work Experience Required: 4+ years
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in operating hybrid cloud platforms, particularly Azure-hosted services and related data technologies (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Databricks).
- Proficient in incident management processes and automation to improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with regulated enterprise environments such as insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred, with additional advantage for Japanese language skills.
