About This Role
- Design, develop and maintain automated mobile tests using Appium and Java.
- Perform manual mobile testing if automation skills are lacking, with responsibility for thorough test execution and reporting.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to improve software quality.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-7 years of software testing experience, with mobile testing exposure mandatory.
- Proficiency in Appium and Java-based automation scripting; familiarity with Selenium or Playwright is beneficial.
- Manual mobile testing experience of 2-3 years mandatory if automation skills are absent.
- Knowledge of API automation testing using Karate framework is good to have but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in mobile automation testing with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to manage automated test issues.
- Comfortable working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies and reporting trends based on test results.
- Able to effectively mentor juniors and communicate across cross-functional teams including developers and product owners.
