About This Role
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable distributed data processing applications using Java, Apache Spark, and Hive.
- Collaborate with global teams including business analysts, technology, and QA to integrate functions and define system enhancements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Spark jobs and contribute to modernization of big data architecture in a financial services context.
Minimum Requirements
- 6 to 11 years hands-on experience in Java and J2EE as primary skills.
- Strong experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, HDFS, YARN).
- Bachelor’s or University degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, Spark; knowledge of Python for data engineering tasks is required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in working within global distributed technology teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong technical depth in big data and distributed systems, with focus on performance optimization in Spark jobs.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins) and understanding of microservices and containerization is advantageous.
