About This Role
- Analyze patent data and scientific sources to provide competitive innovation landscape insights informing Sanofi's R&D and business strategy.
- Deliver CI outputs including patent landscapes, innovation trend analyses, technology benchmarking, and competitor watchlists to support early and mid-stage pipeline and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with CI leaders and portfolio teams to interpret competitor IP activity and integrate insights for global project teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare experience, including at least 1 year in Competitive Intelligence, patent analytics, or technology scouting within pharma, biotech, or CI agency focused on patent-based R&D analysis.
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, M Pharma, PharmD, or equivalent.
- Proficiency with patent databases and analytics tools (e.g., Orbit, PatSnap, Derwent, Questel) and fluency in English.
- Work Experience Required: 3+ years in pharma/healthcare with ≥1 year in Competitive Intelligence or patent analytics.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise in patent data analytics to identify shifts in R&D focus and emerging pharmaceutical technologies, especially within innovative pharma.
- Ability to synthesize complex patent and scientific data into strategic insights for R&D decision-making in therapeutic areas such as Cardiovascular, Metabolism, or Immunology.
- Experienced in collaborating across global, cross-functional teams and integrating competitive intelligence with portfolio management and scientific stakeholders.
