About This Role
- Develop and deliver AI-powered prototypes for Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions by collaborating with frontline operational teams and senior engineers.
- Translate real-world operational challenges into functional AI software solutions using Python and assist in building AI systems like RAG pipelines and agentic workflows.
- Integrate AI applications with shop floor platforms via APIs and perform data engineering tasks to prepare diverse data sources for AI ingestion.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or digital technology delivery.
- Proficient in Python programming (including Pandas, NumPy, requests), fundamental software engineering concepts (OOP, REST APIs), and SQL querying.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini) and basic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures (academic or practical).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Comfortable engaging directly with frontline manufacturing and logistics teams to identify and translate operational problems into AI solutions.
- Experienced in rapid prototyping and iterating AI applications within an agile/sprint environment.
- Demonstrates strong foundational skills in AI frameworks, software development best practices, and a willingness to travel to manufacturing sites for immersion and feedback gathering.
