About This Role
- Own end-to-end BOM management including cost control, version control, and vendor base for critical machine components.
- Lead cost reduction by 8-12% on landed BOM costs and cut procurement lead time by 30% on top 20 BOM items.
- Manage spares and aftermarket supply chain, including forecasting, inventory control, stock policies, and vendor scorecards to ensure 95% fill rate on critical spares.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree Required: BE/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics.
- Work Experience Required: Experience in manufacturing procurement with proven results such as 30%+ landed cost reduction on real components, managing BOM revisions, and running spares/aftermarket functions for capital equipment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in forex, LCs, customs duty, ITC, and vendor management.
- Location Requirement: Based in or willing to work in Mumbai (Panvel).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing critical component procurement for capital equipment, including second-sourcing to eliminate single points of failure.
- Demonstrated ability to build and implement structured processes such as BOM change control, vendor scorecards, and spares classification with measurable KPIs.
- Comfortable operating independently with minimal scaffolding, capable of building and leading a procurement function from the ground up.
