About This Role
- Own and manage critical data systems supporting multiple teams and products with reliable, scalable ingestion, processing, and reporting.
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
- Enforce best practices for data infrastructure and automation; onboard and support new engineering team members.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years professional experience in data platform or data engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, or Scala; experience with ETL orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Experience with distributed data ecosystems such as Spark, Presto, and streaming technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
- Must be located near one of DoorDash's engineering hubs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and scaling high volume data infrastructure with strong focus on data reliability and automation.
- Experienced in full software development lifecycle leveraging AI coding tools to enhance productivity.
- Effective communicator comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
