About This Role
- Manage day-to-day delivery operations across data engineering, analytics, and ML/AI including backlog management, sprint planning, and capacity tracking.
- Own delivery predictability and reporting to stakeholders, including configuring and maintaining Jira dashboards and monthly performance metrics.
- Line manage a team of 15–20 engineers, responsible for performance, development, retention, and serve as primary escalation for delivery issues.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in data engineering or analytics delivery, including 10+ years managing engineers directly.
- Hands-on experience with Jira workflows, custom fields, JQL, board and dashboard configuration, and building reporting.
- Practical experience in agile delivery including sprint mechanics, capacity planning, and flow metrics.
- Working knowledge of SQL, cloud data warehousing (BigQuery preferred), and data pipeline development sufficient to review designs and challenge estimates.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading data engineering and ML delivery end-to-end from requirements through production and retraining.
- Capable of advanced Jira automation or reporting configuration to enhance delivery tracking.
- Comfortable with a technically deep and fast-evolving data and AI landscape, with appetite to deepen technical expertise.
