About This Role
- Validate automation conversions ensuring PCOMM automation outputs match Rocket macro execution through testing and output comparison.
- Lead regression testing including functional, integration, and parallel-run validations to maintain transaction integrity and timing.
- Support migration activities including cutover, rollback verification, production smoke testing, and related documentation such as test plans and defect records.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of mainframe testing experience with hands-on expertise in 3270, 5250 applications, host-session transactions, and batch operations.
- Proven experience validating macro conversions and terminal emulator automations in migration projects to ensure functional equivalence.
- Technical knowledge of Rocket macros, PCOMM automation, EHLLAPI, host screen flows, mainframe transactions, and file transfers.
- Work Experience Required: 10+ years mainframe testing
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in mainframe testing and migration validation specializing in terminal emulator automation.
- Experienced in structured testing methodologies including test case development, defect management, UAT support, and production validation.
- Detail-oriented and capable of documenting comprehensive test plans, evidence, and knowledge base materials to support migration projects.
