About This Role
- Lead design and implementation of end-to-end search solutions including natural language query processing and machine learning model deployment to improve search quality.
- Own technical goals and roadmaps for key areas of Google Workspace Search, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Mentor engineering teams and establish evaluation frameworks with metrics to measure and enhance search relevance and user experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of software development experience.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience in software design and architecture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in technical leadership roles with at least 3 years leading projects and setting technical direction.
- Proven ability to work in complex matrixed organizations involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Strong background in data structures and algorithms and machine learning applications relevant to search and information retrieval.
