Principal Data Lead (Data Engineering with Full-Stack Dev) - Investment Systems

Own end-to-end architecture of the Reference Data Platform covering sourcing, ingestion, entity mastering, bitemporal golden copy, and API-first distribution layers.

Set technical direction for master data management including entity resolution, survivorship, crosswalk/lineage, and event-driven data cadence (batch and real-time streaming).

Drive platform standards, reusable component library, data governance, security, observability, and lead architectural decisions across teams.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

12+ years professional software engineering experience including technical lead or architect roles for data-intensive platforms.

Expert proficiency in Python, experience with MDM/reference data systems, distributed data processing (Spark), API-first and event-driven architectures (Kafka, CDC).

Deep domain knowledge of financial industry reference/master data including integration of vendor market data feeds.

Experienced senior engineer with a strong bias for technical leadership in scalable data platform architecture and standards.

Practitioner of MDM and financial reference data with hands-on background integrating market/vendor data and applying Generative AI to data platform problems.

Comfortable aligning technical architecture with product and business goals, mentoring senior engineers, and resolving complex architectural trade-offs.
