Build and maintain scalable, high-quality data pipelines integrating data from 1-3 source systems to support McCormick business units' analytics and AI needs.
Execute and optimize ETL/ELT processes focusing on data security, quality, performance, and cost efficiency using tools like Azure Synapse, PySpark, and SQL.
Collaborate with data product managers and technical teams to deliver data products, documentation, and resolve pipeline issues ensuring reliable data availability.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science, or related field.
8-12 years of data engineering experience with strong coding skills in PySpark or similar languages.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-900) or Fabric Data Engineer Associate or equivalent cloud certifications.
Experience with building and maintaining data pipelines, data quality management, SQL performance tuning, and knowledge of medallion architecture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced professional capable of managing multiple priorities in complex data engineering environments supporting AI and analytics.
Proficient in cloud data engineering toolsets (Azure Synapse, Fabric, Databricks) with a focus on automation, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Data Science and AI groups.
