Principal Backend Engineer (Go/PostgreSQL) - Remote

Build and enhance multi-tenant backend services using Go and PostgreSQL that integrate diverse data sources into actionable customer intelligence.

Develop and maintain AI-driven workflows that analyze data, execute permissioned actions, and ensure auditability and output quality at scale (100 to 100,000 accounts).

Own new major product capabilities end-to-end, translating unclear requirements into regularly used features within 3–6 months.

8+ years of backend engineering experience at product-based organizations including startup experience.

Strong hands-on expertise in Go and PostgreSQL, including database design and query performance optimization.

Experience shipping customer-facing AI products involving LLMs beyond prototype/demo stage.

Currently employed in a product-based company (mandatory).

Proven ability to independently solve ambiguous customer problems and deliver reliable production services with ownership of end-to-end features.

Experience maintaining production reliability across cloud (AWS), containerized (Docker), and enterprise/on-premise environments.

Prior experience working closely with users and iterating products based on customer feedback for feature improvement.
