Cargo Operations Officer - Chennai, India

Monitor and ensure smooth cargo operations at the Chennai station/region through coordination with ground handling agents and station staff.

Supervise and control cargo operations impacting station functionality, ensuring safety, security, compliance with local and IATA regulations, and operational efficiency.

Liaise with external service providers, shippers, consignees, and Qatar Airways management to manage compliance, performance, regulatory changes, and cargo backlog situations.

Minimum 4 years of job-related experience in air cargo operations.

Knowledge of Air Cargo Operations mandatory with detailed knowledge of IATA Cargo Handling.

High school qualification, Vocational Qualification, Diploma, or equivalent.

Legal right to live and work in India mandatory.

Experienced in supervising cargo operations at station level with direct operational impact.

Comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders including Ground Handling Agents, Cargo Agents, Freight Forwarders, and airline headquarters.

Capable of monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and quality standards in cargo operations.
