QA Automation Engineer with Backend, Database Testing - Pune

Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test solutions for backend systems, APIs, and batch workloads with a strong emphasis on automation frameworks using Python and Shell scripting.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and debugging on large-scale databases using complex SQL queries to ensure data and process integrity.

Collaborate closely with software engineers, business analysts, and product owners in an Agile environment to maintain quality throughout the software development lifecycle and support continuous quality improvements.

4–7 years of experience in software testing with strong backend and automation testing focus.

Strong hands-on experience in Python automation development and desktop application automation using pywinauto.

Strong database testing skills including SQL query development, data validation, debugging, and working with large data volumes and complex schemas.

Strong financial services domain knowledge required; capital markets or private equity experience preferred.

Experienced in working with Agile Scrum and SAFe methodologies, comfortable participating in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, Zephyr Scale, and Confluence.

Technically skilled in Unix/Linux environments with Shell scripting and familiar with automation best practices and backend system validations.
