Own the health, reliability, and release engineering of PA-VM, Palo Alto Networks' virtualized next-generation firewall platform.
Design and maintain Docker-based cross-architecture build environments and operate CI/CD pipelines for multi-architecture PA-VM images.
Lead debugging of complex regressions across multiple hypervisors and CPU architectures and mentor engineers through architecture reviews and post-mortems.
Minimum Requirements
10+ years of hands-on systems engineering on Linux-based appliances or virtualized platforms.
Deep expertise in Linux systems including boot/init, process supervision, journald, cgroups, and core dumps.
Experience with private and public cloud hypervisors (KVM, ESXi, AWS Nitro, GCP KVM) and proficiency on x86_64 and ARM64 platforms.
Work Experience Required: 10+ years; Immigration sponsorship not available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in operating multiple active release trains with zero-downtime upgrades and hot-patch semantics.
Skilled in both infrastructure-level systems programming and build/release engineering with a background in network security products like firewall or VPN.
Able to lead cross-functional engineering teams through complex debugging and architecture reviews with demonstrated senior-level leadership.
