QA Automation Engineer with Backend, Database Testing  - Pune

Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual testing for enterprise financial applications, focusing on backend systems, APIs, and database workloads.

Develop automation frameworks and test utilities using Python, pywinauto, and Shell scripting; perform complex SQL-based data validation and reconciliation.

Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product owners to integrate quality in software lifecycle, execute end-to-end regression testing, troubleshoot issues, and report risks and defects.

4–7 years of experience in software testing focusing on backend and automation testing.

Strong hands-on experience with Python automation, including desktop app automation using pywinauto, plus Shell scripting in Unix/Linux environments.

Strong financial services domain knowledge; experience in capital markets or private equity preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/training/work experience.

Experienced in backend and database testing with complex SQL queries and large data volumes in financial services, especially capital markets/private equity.

Skilled in Python-based automation frameworks and Unix/Linux environments, able to independently develop and troubleshoot automation solutions.

Familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr Scale), capable of collaborating with cross-functional global teams in fast-paced settings.
