Own end-to-end development of backend JVM services related to data integration, including design, implementation, testing, shipping, and maintenance.
Work mainly on streaming runtime using Kafka and distributed data processing components ensuring data moves efficiently across 1000+ enterprise systems.
Debug production issues by tracing failures through distributed systems like Kafka and third-party APIs, and gradually develop domain expertise on data schemas, authentication, and retry logic.
Minimum Requirements
2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience with Java as the primary language.
Strong JVM fundamentals including collections, concurrency basics, memory behavior, and ability to interpret stack traces and thread dumps.
Proficient in writing tests simultaneously with development, comfortable working with SQL and at least one communication protocol: gRPC, REST, webhooks, or CDC.
Location requirement: Bengaluru, hybrid work with 2 days/week onsite; must overlap with U.S. Pacific Morning hours for collaboration.

Operates with ownership mindset to finish features fully from design through production and maintenance.
Adaptable to shifting product definitions driven by AI integration in data platforms, able to handle complex domain-specific challenges including variable data schemas and external system quirks.
