Senior Business Analyst – ION / Commodity Trading Systems

Lead end-to-end business analysis for commodity trading and hedging systems, focusing on requirements gathering through post-implementation stabilization.

Analyze, document, and translate complex commodity trading workflows into functional specifications, supporting trading operations, risk management, and system integrations.

Coordinate and manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, incident analysis, deployment readiness, and post-go-live support to ensure system reliability and operational efficiency.

Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst supporting IT applications, preferably in commodity trading and hedging.

Hands-on experience with ION XTP or comparable ION trading platforms, including ION Openlink, Openlink Endur, or equivalent ETRM/CTRM platforms.

Strong domain knowledge of commodity trading, hedging strategies, and end-to-end trade lifecycle processes, specifically in soft commodities like grains and seeds.

Ability to coordinate SIT and UAT, manage defects, support production application support, incident management, and integration involving market data, trade processing, settlements, and reporting.

Experienced in regulated or controlled environments emphasizing auditability, operational controls, and risk management within commodity trading systems.

Comfortable bridging business and technology with strong skills in stakeholder management, process mapping, and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Demonstrated expertise in improving operational workflows, support documentation, and release management in business-critical trading technology environments.
