Lead Software Engineer

Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of Mastercard's next-generation experimentation and analytics platform focused on scalable, cloud-native, data-intensive software solutions.

Drive technical strategy for modernization, cloud adoption, and evolution of legacy systems including service-oriented architectures using AWS, Azure, Databricks, and related technologies.

Lead cross-functional and globally distributed teams through technical execution, code and design reviews, mentorship, and coordination to ensure secure, reliable, and high-quality software delivery.

8+ years of software engineering experience in building scalable, high-performance distributed systems and cloud-native applications.

Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), Databricks, Spark/PySpark, microservices, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience leading architecture and technical delivery in agile environments across globally distributed teams.

Proven track record of technical leadership as an individual contributor with ability to influence architecture and lead large-scale cross-team initiatives.

Experience modernizing legacy systems towards scalable, secure, API-driven, and service-oriented cloud platforms.

Capability to manage complex problem solving under ambiguity, mentor engineers effectively, and collaborate across diverse teams and time zones.
