Perform independent reviews of bank reconciliations to ensure compliance with policies, accounting standards, and control requirements.
Evaluate reconciliation quality, completeness, timeliness, and documentation; identify exceptions and control deficiencies.
Partner with stakeholders to communicate findings, drive issue resolution, and monitor remediation plans and escalations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years experience OR Associate's degree with minimum 7 years experience in accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
Comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting/finance analysis, modeling, querying, and visualization tools.
Preferred advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA) but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in bank reconciliation governance and controllership with strong oversight capabilities.
Able to identify and challenge control deficiencies and drive remediation effectively.
Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders including preparers, reviewers, and senior management for issue resolution and escalation.
