Job Description
Structured overview of role & requirementsAbout This Role
Drive design and execution of a next-generation massively parallel processing (MPP) clustered database engine handling real-time queries on large-scale datasets.
Own core architectural decisions for distributed database kernel components like query execution engines and cluster coordination protocols.
Develop and optimize low-latency, high-throughput backend C++ code with hardware-level performance optimizations including SIMD vectorization and RDMA-based cluster communication.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering (Minimum 4 years program) from reputed institute; Master's preferred for senior roles.
8+ years hands-on experience in production-level C++ (C++17/20/23) with expertise in template metaprogramming, coroutines, and custom memory allocators.
Expertise in HPC parallelism using MPI, OpenMP, and MapReduce frameworks.
Proven skills in microarchitectural optimization with SIMD intrinsics programming, concurrency mechanisms, and database internals design.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in distributed systems engineering bridging HPC and big data, especially cluster-scale MPP database engines.
Skilled in low-level hardware optimization and cluster network fabric design for ultra-low latency execution.
Comfortable working with cross-country teams on deeply technical, performance-critical infrastructure projects in retail/CPG or related domains.
