Senior Software Engineer - Data Science & AI

Develop and operate reusable AI and Data Science platform components (ranking, personalization, recommendation) adopted across multiple product teams.

Build and maintain evaluation services including dataset curation, LLM-based judgments, regression testing, and quality metrics to ensure statistical rigor and measurable impact.

Design and ship production-grade backend APIs and services for AI capabilities with observability, cost management, and Responsible AI controls integrated.

7+ years combined experience in applied Data Science and software engineering with expertise in machine learning fundamentals and evaluation design.

Proven experience delivering AI/Data Science functionality as reusable components consumed by multiple teams, not limited to single products.

Hands-on skills with Generative AI tools such as LangChain/LangGraph, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search (Elasticsearch preferred), and LLM orchestration.

Strong backend engineering on cloud platforms (preferably Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), Python plus C#/.NET, with production-grade CI/CD and observability practices.

Experienced in building shared AI platform services that prioritize reusability and cross-team adoption rather than single-product features.

Comfortable working in a cloud-native architecture environment integrating advanced retrieval systems and LLM tooling within established engineering standards.

Statistically rigorous with strong ability to design, interpret, and communicate NLP and ranking model evaluations to varied stakeholders.
