Manage and operate FactSet’s VMware vSphere environments across global data centers, offices, POPs, and remote client locations.
Design, deploy, and maintain next-generation Kubernetes-native virtualization infrastructure using KubeVirt and Rancher Harvester as part of the internal developer platform.
Automate lifecycle management and support infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and stability including storage systems; participate in global 24x7 on-call rotation with minimized non-work hour interruptions.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi administration.
Foundational understanding or strong motivation to develop expertise in Kubernetes concepts and cluster operations.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and PowerCLI; familiarity with Kubernetes-native tooling like Terraform, GitOps, ArgoCD, or Flux.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced working across both traditional virtualization (VMware vSphere) and Kubernetes-native virtualization technologies (KubeVirt, Rancher Harvester).
Skilled in infrastructure-as-code, automation, and maintaining hybrid environments involving distributed storage and networking.
Comfortable operating in a global environment supporting many workloads with a focus on reliability, performance, and automation.
