Own and scale the Agentic Platform for Amtech AI Intelligence, creating reusable AI agent components across multiple product lines.
Set technical direction, make build-vs-buy decisions for agent tooling, and serve as a technical reference for Forward Deployed Engineers integrating the platform into product pods.
Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI agents on AWS, ensuring governed, secure data access and cost-effective operation while collaborating closely with ML Engineering and MLOps teams.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
4-6 years software engineering experience with at least 2 years building production systems using large language models.
Strong Python skills and practical experience with prompt engineering, agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph), and integrating major LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
Hands-on AWS experience deploying and operating production workloads (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Engineer with experience setting technical direction and influencing engineering teams without formal management responsibilities.
Comfortable working close to production systems involving governed customer data and integrating AI tooling into enterprise software environments, preferably with industrial/manufacturing domain exposure.
Proficient at bridging agentic AI/LLM development with classical ML engineering and MLOps practices, capable of collaborating across multiple technical disciplines to ensure scalable, governed deployment.
