Lead and grow Karat’s India-based engineering organization, owning delivery for multiple product areas from technical approach through launch and ongoing operation.

Develop senior technical talent and engineering managers, build local leadership, and delegate product and feature ownership across teams.

Serve as a cross-company leader to align India-based teams with global counterparts, ensuring effective collaboration and operation as one company.

10+ years professional software-engineering experience with 5+ years in management roles.

Demonstrated experience shipping and operating customer-facing, hosted SaaS software products in production (mandatory).

Strong technical depth in AI-driven technologies and software development lifecycle ownership from planning to iterative improvement.

Must reside in Bengaluru, India; position requires schedule overlap with U.S. business hours.

Experienced in leading globally distributed engineering teams with strong India-U.S. collaboration.

Proven track record developing senior engineering leaders and improving engineering culture, processes, and systems balancing delivery and platform health.

Comfortable as a hands-on engineering leader initially transitioning to delegating product and people leadership responsibilities.
