Director, Software Development - FinTech SaaS

Lead and manage a global engineering organization of approximately 70 engineers building and supporting cloud financial and grantmaking SaaS applications for nonprofits.

Drive and execute technical strategy including AI-enabled innovation, modernization, reliable operational delivery, and adherence to security and compliance requirements in a financial system of record context.

Own end-to-end engineering delivery from development through operations, including incident escalation, data-driven decision making, and building the engineering culture and operating rhythm at the India site.

15+ years of professional experience with at least 10+ years in engineering leadership managing managers.

Experience leading large-scale, globally distributed engineering teams of 40+ engineers and architects delivering SaaS solutions at scale with operational SLA accountability.

Proven experience in building or managing financial, accounting, ERP, or fund accounting systems with understanding of general ledger, period close, financial reporting, and audit controls.

Experience leading teams in SAFe or comparable agile frameworks and fluency with AI-driven development tools and practices.

Senior leader with experience balancing modernization and operational reliability in financial SaaS products for nonprofits or mission-driven organizations.

Strong strategic communicator able to align complex engineering concepts with business priorities and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Operator capable of scaling engineering culture globally and embedding AI and automation into development workflows while maintaining compliance in financial systems.
