Design, develop, validate, and maintain safety-critical firmware for ARM Cortex-R5 MCU cores, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards.
Lead board bring-up and bootloader development (e.g., SBL), configure system boot flow for secure, safe operation, and implement IPC between safety and application domains.
Perform low-level driver and HAL implementation, configure SoC safety mechanisms, and conduct in-depth debugging at hardware/software interface using advanced tools like JTAG debuggers.
Minimum Requirements
8-12 years of embedded software development experience focused on C programming for microcontrollers.
Proven experience with safety-critical firmware development compliant with ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.
Experience with TI TDA4Vx/Jacinto 7 SoCs and ARM Cortex-R5 or similar safety-oriented MCUs, including bare-metal and RTOS development (ETAS RTA-OS, FreeRTOS).
Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Demonstrated ability to lead complex firmware projects involving safety-critical embedded systems on ARM Cortex-R5 architectures.
Strong hands-on skills with hardware-software interfacing, low-level driver development, and configuring SoC safety features such as MPUs and lock-step cores.
Experience working in environments requiring secure boot, multicore system tuning, and use of advanced debugging and software development tools (e.g., Lauterbach Trace32, Git, CI/CD).
