Staff Data Scientist

Lead end-to-end development and deployment of NLP and LLM-based systems to extract structured insights from unstructured conversation data (calls, chats, transcripts).

Design and implement evaluation methods for LLM systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability including monitoring and regression testing.

Partner with product and engineering to productionize ML models that measurably impact business outcomes like conversion, retention, and resolution.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics or related quantitative field; PhD preferred.

6+ years applying data science or machine learning to real products with experience taking systems from concept to production.

Expertise in NLP and LLMs including prompt design, fine-tuning, evaluation with rubric design, and handling speech-to-text data complexities.

Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch) and expert SQL on modern warehouse/lakehouse platforms; experience with major LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, etc).

Experienced in shipping customer-facing ML systems in production with strong statistical inference and causal inference capability to link models to business impact.

Skilled in building robust MLOps/LLMOps pipelines including model/version control, monitoring, drift detection, and CI/CD for ML.

Comfortable operating independently end-to-end in ambiguous, high-velocity environments combining research and engineering to deliver measurable business value.
