Sr Manager of Software Engineering- Java, AWS

Lead and coach multiple technical teams of entry-level to mid-level software engineers focusing on software engineering and cloud-native platform development.

Drive and scale enterprise-wide adoption of AI-assisted engineering, SDLC/TLM automation practices to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes with measurable goals.

Influence tactical operations, budget decisions, and cross-team collaboration to advance operational efficiencies and technology functionality.

5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification and 2+ years of technical leadership experience.

Strong expertise in distributed systems architecture including APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, data stores, and resiliency patterns.

Practical experience building and operating cloud-native solutions on AWS and/or Azure including containerization and platform engineering.

Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with governance and secure handling of sensitive data.

Experienced leader capable of coaching teams on strategic technical goals with emphasis on scalable, resilient cloud-native systems.

Demonstrates deep domain expertise in distributed system design and practical cloud platform engineering.

Has a track record of implementing responsible AI use and automation governance across engineering teams in a large enterprise environment.
