Lead Software Engineer - Java Backend

Lead design, development, and troubleshooting of secure, scalable backend software solutions primarily using Java and microservices architectures.

Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and automation to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational stability.

Lead evaluation of external vendors and promote new technologies through communities of practice within Software Engineering.

5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.

Proficiency in backend technologies including Java and Springboot, with experience in microservices applications.

Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), RESTful APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Demonstrated ability leading use of AI-assisted software development tools and ensuring secure, compliant practices.

Experienced engineer capable of independently solving complex design challenges and mentoring teams on AI-assisted engineering.

Strong technical leadership skills with ability to evaluate technology vendors and influence engineering practices across teams.

Experienced in secure, scalable backend system design and operational stability in an agile, CI/CD environment.
