Lead design, development, testing, commissioning, and support of control and protection software for HVDC converter stations.
Configure, parameterize, and troubleshoot control and protection systems during commissioning and operational phases.
Prepare technical documentation and provide training and support to customers and internal teams on HVDC control software.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years experience in control and protection software development for power systems, preferably HVDC or FACTS.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and IEC 61131-3; experience with RTOS and industrial communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850).
Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning, testing, and customer support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in real-time control system software development within power systems, specifically HVDC technology and converter topologies like VSC and LCC.
Able to independently manage software lifecycle phases from design through commissioning with cross-functional collaboration.
Strong familiarity with power systems simulation tools and cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems.
