Senior Manager, Software Engineering (L5)

Manage operational excellence including system reliability, incident response, security, and stakeholder relationships, balancing competing priorities across product, platform, and operational tooling.

15+ years software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering management leading 10+ engineers.

Strong experience in designing and operating cloud-native distributed systems, deep familiarity with AWS ecosystem and infrastructure-as-code tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.

Demonstrated experience adopting AI tools within engineering teams to improve delivery and quality.

Location: Remote role based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, New Delhi).

Experienced leader comfortable balancing external customer commitments with internal platform and operational tooling demands in a fast-paced environment.

Technically adept enough to engage deeply in architectural discussions and earn trust of senior engineers without daily coding responsibilities.

Skilled at recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse, high-performing teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships with clear communication and transparency.
