Sr Software Engineer

Own and drive end-to-end development including technical design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance of integration and protocol components used by thousands of customers.

Define and enforce API versioning and backward compatibility strategies for public contracts to ensure extensibility without product forks.

Lead root cause analysis and fixes for complex, escalated integration failures at production scale, while mentoring junior engineers and raising team quality standards.

5+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems in production ownership.

Expert-level skills in Java or JavaScript/Node.js with strong computer science fundamentals including concurrency, memory management, and performance profiling.

Proven experience designing and debugging integrations with third-party systems, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mutual TLS, and API key authentication flows.

Experience in data modeling, SQL, query optimization for large datasets, automated testing, and Agile sprint development.

Experienced backend engineer skilled in designing robust, scalable distributed systems with failure handling features like retries, rate limiting, and graceful degradation.

Proven ability to lead technical design discussions and mentor less experienced engineers with clear written communication and documentation skills.

Familiarity or capacity to quickly ramp on ServiceNow platform scripting and AI integration into workflows, with experience building platform or developer-facing integration products.
